Indian Army officer ranks in US Army Depot stock

The Indian Army has a few officers who rank in the top ten of the most highly-paid US Army officers, according to a US Army official.

Sources told NDTV that in December, a US official had informed Army Chief Gen. James Mattis that the top 10 US officers at the Army Depot in Fort Meade, Maryland, were among the most senior officers in the army.

They are among the top 20 most highly paid American officers at that level, the source said.

The top 10 are among several thousand officers who have the highest rank in their army branches.

The highest paid US officer in his branch is Gen. Stephen Townsend of the 1st Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division.

Townsend is currently commander of the 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry Division, based at Fort Drum, New York.

The other top 10 in the US Army are Gen. John Alexander of the 3rd Infantry Division; Gen. David Petraeus of the 4th Infantry; Gen Robert E Lee of the 5th Armored Division; and Gen Mark Milley of the 9th Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division based at Jackson Barracks in Tennessee.

The number of officers with the highest paid rank in any branch is roughly 20.

The US Army ranks the top-10 most highly payed US officers according to the National Security Council’s Bureau of Public Sector Employment.
